Ultracel is an ultra-fine synthetic fibre engineered to mimic the feel of natural silk without the allergen concerns. Unlike conventional hollow-fibre polyester, Ultracel fibres are significantly finer — measured in denier — giving the pillow its characteristic silky, cloud-like loft that retains its shape over time. Its hypoallergenic properties make it particularly well-suited to Malaysia's tropical environment, where dust mite and mould allergen levels are elevated year-round. Ultracel pillows are machine washable on a gentle cycle at 30°C — a significant maintenance advantage over natural fills such as down or latex. To maintain loft after washing, tumble dry on low heat with a dryer ball, or air-flat in indirect sunlight.
